Himalayan Expedition - Fundraising Appeal
I have enrolled to participate in a charity trek in the Nepali Himalayas in October 2010 in aid of the ISIS Foundation and Kathmandu Kids Club. The key purpose of the foundation in Nepal is to help Nepalese children by easing their plight, in a country ravaged by poverty and overcoming the effects of a very recent civil war.
Thousands of Himalayan children have been forced by civil war from the safety of their parents homes. Many of these children arrive at the capital, in an appalling and desperate state, suffering from malnutrition, disease and shock. Other children, unable to leave the mountains due to poverty or lack of resources, are at serious risk of dying from easily preventable diseases.
The Trek team size will be 10-20 persons and each trekker has committed to raise $10,000 prior to the expedition. While all trek and travel costs are being borne by the trekkers, I depend on your generous support to help me raise the charity amount for our chosen charity.
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
You can donate online to the above charity at Donate Now
Alternatively you can hand me the donation in cash which I will arrange to send to the ISIS Foundation who will acknowledge receipt of your donation in a personal email to you.

The things in life I take for granted
ReplyDeleteLord teach me to today to appreciate
I could have been a cripple unwanted
But I can stand, hop and walk straight
Help me to part with my extra blessings
There are others who need them more
These are but just material things
Lord what I hoard belongs to the poor
I need the strength to help me part
Thank you that I can be the giver
I praise you Lord with all my heart
Id rather be giver than receiver

ReplyDeleteIt is within the reach of every individual to make a difference. It should come naturally to share our privileges with the less fortunate. With a little help from us these children are given a means to tap their potential and find their own path in life. In turn, one day, they might pass on the opportunity which has been given to them. Together lets heal the world.
